My breakfast shake – the Mocha Protein Shake

I’m a person of habit and I like to have some rituals. These kind of structure keeps me sane the same way like being in nature.

One of those rituals is my morning shake and I drink it 6 to 7 times a week. The recipe never changes and I have no problem to drink it everyday.

1 1/2 cups cold black coffee (I use cold drip coffee, which I make)
1 large frozen banana (depending on your blender you might need to cut it before freezing)
1 handful of walnuts/pecans or almonds (I alternate between walnuts and pecans)
1 heaping tablespoon unsweetened cocoa powder
1-2 scoops of vanilla protein powder (you can also use chocolate)

Put everything in the blender and blend it! VoilĂ  your delicious breakfast shake is ready and it takes less than 3 minutes to prepare.
